Company Profile
Company History

SATURN Joint Stock Company was founded in 1964 and initially functioned as a diversified enterprise specializing in development, design and production of chemical and physical power supplies, electric sensors and power-engineering products for special and industrial application. In the late eighties and early nineties the focus of the company finally shifted to design of solar and storage batteries for spacecrafts application, measuring and control equipment for these products and independent systems of power supplies on the basis of photoelectric power stations. Over the years, JSC SATURN has manufactured solar and storage batteries for more than 950 spacecrafts operating in all types of orbits.
The actual operation life of solar and storage batteries has reached 9 years in Geostationary Orbit and 6 years in Low Earth Orbit, guaranteed operation life 15 years in Geostationary Orbit and 7-10 years in Low Earth Orbit and for the storage batteries of universal official module for International Space Station the operational life is now 15 years.
Hundreds of photoelectrical stations developed and produced by JSC SATURN with power range from 100V up to 15kW are working effectively in many countries of Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
